La Dolce Vida

To keep you all in the loop on the living room re-do (because I know you have been dying to figure out what our other seating options would be), I would like to introduce a little bit of sweetness:

That's the Dolce chair from Target.  She and her twin sister are coming to live with us.  I think she will look quite nice with a little lumbar pillow to add some color.  When I was courting additional furniture, I decided I wanted something pretty neutral in-case our future abodes didnt have room for additional seating in the living area or required much bigger pieces.  Since I'm thrifty (nice way of saying pretty cheap), I thought about buying off of Craigslist and redoing but then I remembered my plum friend currently sitting in the living room who still hasnt been recovered because I'm totally intimidated by her 70's curves.  Since I'm an avid YoungHouseLove.com reader, I spotted the above chair in their house and decided to shamelessly mimic.  She just blends right in:


And their two in the new place pushed together to make a bench:

The reviews say Dolce is ridiculously difficult to put together but I think B and I are up for the challenge.  I will post during the process but if our Dolces have duct tape holding the legs on, I might just not show that.

Here's what I think I should make next for our living room.  I think I will finish the room in just enough time to move :)
